On the darkweb, Americans sometimes share a Sabaton song about how the “winged hussars arrived” to turn back a foreign army assaulting a Western city. The music is stirring but often I have feared that it gave us false hope.
For the first time in a long time, I dare to feel hope. As far as I can tell, these strikes are being led by Americans who have sworn loyalty to the Constitution. Reportedly, 80% of the striking pilots are veterans. If so, these “winged” veterans could bring a new meaning to the trope of being rescued by “winged” hussars.
