"The Russian military police will create eight outposts near the demilitarized zone at the Golan Heights on the Syrian-Israeli border, a deputy commander of the Russian forces in Syria in charge of of military police, Viktor Zaytsev, said.
According to the official, the first permanent observation post of the Russian military police has already been set up.
“Seven more will be created in the future. They will serve as a security guarantee for civilians of the Quneitra governorate,” he said.
Another deputy commander of the Russian forces in Syria, Sergei Kuralenko, said the outposts will be created near the demilitarized zone, controlled by UN forces.
“I would like to stress that there will be no Russian military police posts in the demilitarized zone,” he said." AMN

So, eight Russian OPs will stand between the IDF and the SAA in the low ground just east of the UNDOF run DMZ. This is a momentous development that clearly signals Israel's acceptance of the status quo ante the civil war in Syria. IOW Israel accepts the continuing existence of the Syrian Arab Government. Someone should communicate this fact to Trump and his merry band of economic warriors. This would probably be welcome news in the context of their nearly global struggle against the dark forces that they think confront them. Russian MPs are actually escorting UN UNDOF troops back into the DMZ so that the UN people can set up their own OPs.
None of this means that the IAF will stop bombing Iran connected targets in Syria, but it does mean that the temperature will be reduced in the renewed nose to nose confrontation between Syria and Israel. pl
