A senate vote on the “Green New Deal.” Yes!

"It also immediately provoked controversy. While some environmental advocates applauded the plan's grand scope, experts said the plan's aim to get to net-zero carbon emissions in 10 years seemed unrealistic.

Critics also pounced on a blog post from Ocasio-Cortez's office — now taken down — that said the policy assures "economic security to all who are unable or unwilling to work."

In addition, the bill lays out some lofty goals that could require massive, difficult-to-administer new programs, like a job guarantee and a plan to upgrade every building in the country for energy efficiency."  NPR

You gotta love this!  Senate Majority Leader McConnell plans to call the Green New Deal Resolution sponsored by the Democrat Left to the floor of the senate for a debate in detail and a vote.  This resolution which, as Trumps said, reads like an ignorant and naive high school term paper, deserves the close examination that a senate debate would provide.

Senator Ed Markey of Massachusetts doesn't like that.  Of course he does not.  He is a co-sponsor of this foolishness, a foolishness that envisions a Brave New World in which the use of fossil fuels is banned, people are told what to eat, air travel is abolished except for a Nomenklatura approved by the FAA, ownership of property is taxed by measures amounting to confiscation and enactment of Medicare for all costing 32 trillion in the first 10 years.

A debate and vote in the senate would be almighty clarifying for the voting public as to what they/we would lose or gain from enactment of the provisions of the resolution.  pl
