Allegedly it was a Dutch hacker that made Germany prohibit all future “electronic voting” in their federal elections. That would be an interesting history to track – why and when did so many European countries ban “electronic voting”. And what were the affiliations of this “Dutch hacker”.
In an earlier tracking of Dominion and the DNC honcho lobbying law firm Brownstein, Farber, Hyatt and Shreck, I did come across much earlier criticisms of Dominion voting from Democrat election watchdogs. Bush was President in 2006 when this cable was written.
What did “they” know, and when did they know it. Solve for “they” first.
Smartmatic is a competitor of Dominion in the election machine industry. They do not share hardware or software with Dominion or any other competitors. Smartmatic was only used in Los Angeles County in 2020. Whatever baggage Smartmatic may have, it has nothing to with the results of our election. Trump and his elite strike team are spinning this into a web of lies in an effort to baffle us all. The same with the breathless claim of Dominion machines playing games in Philadelphia. Philadelphia did not use Dominion machines. This crooked voting machine theory is a dead end. Trump better stick to beating on the absentee/mail in ballot angle if he wants to make any headway.
Colonel, I don’t know enough about Venezuela pre- and post-Chavez to argue persuasively. I remember listening to Chavez being extensively interviewed and remember being impressed.
I must say I have a hard time putting Chavez in the same category as Lenin and Mao. To the best of my knowledge, Chavez did not embark on campaigns to kill masses of Venezuelan people.

I am sorry. I am a black/white thinker in many ways. I know, however that there are some situations when there is a middle ground.
In regard to socialism and communism, however, there is no middle ground as far as I am concerned. They are flawed and dangerous political systems. Those ideologies are based on categorizing human beings, labeling them and determining the “class” they belong to. We have had election security problems since the Sequoia hackable machines during the Bush II 2004 election and on. I always found it puzzling the Democrats did not raise holy hell at the time and never had.
Pinning this probable election fraud Venezuela sounds like a well constructed legend along the lines of the Chinese did it, the Russians did it, dodgy dossiers and yellow cake, etc. Not buying it.

I think the Trump campaign is right to ignore this. They have more than enough to win on signature matching, ballot harvesting and stuffing. By all means let Sidney Powell pursue this but this is the nott the right path to officially pursue.

He’s been screaming about the electronic voting machine scam for 20 years and telling anyone who will listen that election legitimacy requires hand marked paper ballots, counted in public. Instead, of course, congress and local governments have, since the steal of 2000, on a bipartisan basis, with Republicans usually in the lead, encouraged the turn over of all of our elections to equipment owned by spooky companies like Dominion, ES&S, etc. (No worries about hanging chads that way, “get over it!”) He did a story 10 years ago about Dominion, Sequoia and Diebold which, in garbled form, seems to form the basis for Sidney Powell’s so-far evidence free charges.
I am fairly convinced that certain states doubled down on manufacturing enough votes to tip what earlier appeared to be a Trump win, into a Biden win. And I’m convinced the people behind it were convinced they were doing what had to be done to “save America” and THAT TO THEM IT WAS THE RIGHT THING TO DO.
I am also fairly convinced for a variety of reasons, mostly having to do with cultural aversions to aborting the sacred ritual of succession, that all those plotters will get away with it and Biden will ascend the throne on Jan. 20.

It may have been developed by Chavez to counter the CIA efforts against him. Obviously, since, the thing has become available abroad to the highest bidder, and others have established links between the various companies. The only answer in the end is to require no computer intervention in the counting of ballots.
Dominion voting machines produce a paper ballot, no?
Democrats printing several hundred thousand paper ballots is part of the case being made too? If it is, no GOP official saw any of that? If not, a simple hand recounts of the votes will tell if there was a fraud.
To be quite honest, I am always suspicious of voting machines that do not leave a paper ballot for us to be able to audit the eletronic counting, it is what happens here in Brazil (we have to have a lot of faith in our election officers), but that is not how things are set in the USA afaik and the stuff that I am reading just does not make a good case for fraud. It borders the unbelivable.

You know what, Carly Fiorina once sold something to Iran when she ran HP, this means that all HP products are compromised by Iranian malware.
The most compelling argument that the Dominion voting system is well behaved is that it was just audited on a large scale in the Georgia recount. Less than 2,000 votes flipped and that was because they were not collected, not because Dominion maliciously flipped them.
We know that the Dominion voting system does not change or delete votes because all of the paper ballots were compared to the electronic tabulations.
Since this is the crux of the issue for me, I found two links below. This first one confirms that GA switched to paper ballots for this election and the second is a product brochure from Dominion describing their balloting product which prints out the paper ballot. They have other products which assist in electronically tabulating results in a manner which makes sense to the people who run elections.

Beyond, ah well, private equity, leverage capital cum management buy out and shell companies hiding in tax shelters … To the extent I grasped it beyond normal market business: Dominating the Market? A standard desire? No? Does it need tax-havens more generally spoken in the larger private equity fund business? Missing to many pieces of the larger economic puzzle here.

Smart persons will rather follow the reports of Jimmy’s Carter Centre, who reported on several Venezuelan elections, and judged them some of the cleanest in the world, using a system designed in Taiwan, in which every voter receives a printout of his vote, which is a legal document in case of a disputed return. Fraud alleged by Capriles and others has never been substantiated. And as both Chavez and Maduro’s governments are wildly popular, only benighted Americans could credit they would need to rig elections. The involvement of the sinister English lord Malloch-Brown indicates the Venezuelans were more likely comprador traitors.
I believe it is likely Sidney Powell has been deliberately fed a chunk of American garbage propaganda, so her plaints can later be debunked.
