    Bannon’s defining quality is loyalty.

    Trump throwing him overboard to satiate his snake-in-law was folly right out of Shakespeare.

      Is it Trump the man that Bannon is loyal to? Or is it rather his own ideals and beliefs?

      Bottom line- you can have as much or even more power, along with freedom of expression outside government compared to inside government. I think Bannon appreciated this fact of life.

      Being the strident lone voice on a team under government rules, regulations and active deep state sabotage is not as satisfying as hie more lone, private opinion setting role Bannon holds today.

      I wouldn’t be surprised if Trump is not coming around to this fact of life too. A second term with a hostile Congress would have been a waste of everyone’s time.
