FWIW, I think Wokeness is an elite project, not an organic, grassroots one;
yet another manifestation of Divide and Rule, Inc.
I think this will become clear fairly soon.
My suspicion is that like many things, it was a grassroots project that was co-opted by elites. I think this is definitely true of BLM, which was completely taken over by the Dem elites, to suit their national agenda.

Patrisse Khan-Cullors and her partner are involved from the begining with “Black Lives Matter” and while they are excellent grifters neither should be confused with being elites of the Democratic party. Don Surber labeled them “Malibu Marxists”, which is probably as apt a description as any. They’ve manged to land a nice real estate deal on property which is not located anywhere near their fellow oppressed victims of victimhood.

As we say in French : “Charbonnier est maître chez lui” (approximative translation : “Each is lord in his own manor”, withe the nuance of the “charbonnier” is belonging to the working class, and that even the poor is master at home, not only the “lord”.
