Since probably soon there will be no way to watch soemthing like this, I recommed that after you view this beautiful documental by Italian director Luca Belardi as homage to the suffered people of Donbass Ukrainian region, download it for posterity.

Narrated in the beautiful Italian language and a poetic tone, I post it here as a my personal homage to these heroic people and for to put faces to those who some at the head of the US and Europe want to erase from history records and above all from our minds and memories…

    Scott Ritter today:
    https://twitter.com/realscottritter/status/1494336577828364301?s=21

Putin will address the Russian Parliament. This is most probably going to be a declaration of war, perhaps with some time built in to give the West one last chance to comply with Russian demands, or Russia will have no choice but to proceed with its “military technical” solution.

    ———
I haven’t found confirmation either for or against yet.

    • zmajcek says:

      Declaration of War ?
That seems a bit dramatic. Russia is more on the pragmatic side.
As the West grows more woke and confused, Russia is actually growing stronger and addressing some of its traditional weaknesses. Fight against corruption, economic development and diversification, political stability, military modernization etc.

  3. Fourth and Long says:

Scott Ritter possibly confused – see my earlier post on his tweet of today. Tass has this instead:

“Putin began a series of meetings to prepare a message to parliament
Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that he was starting a series of meetings to prepare a message to the Federal Assembly.
    RT in Russian
“Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told RIA Novosti that the Kremlin will promptly announce the date of the Russian president’s message.
    RT in Russian
“I propose to start with an analysis of the overall macroeconomic picture and an updated forecast of economic dynamics for the next three years,” he said.
    Interfax
The appeal to the Federal Assembly lasted 1 hour and 20 minutes.

    • d74 says:

An excerpt in substance from Scott Ritter:
“[Choice for US diplomacy] accepts to trade NATO’s open-door policy for Russia’s agreement not to deploy in the Western Hemisphere, or forcibly go to a confrontation that will result in a Russian invasion of Ukraine, which Europe sees as the fault of the US.”

-1) I do not believe Russia will invade Ukraine in the near future. To say it will invade, even conditionally, is to participate in the ongoing deception campaign.

-2) If Russia intervenes in the Donbass to protect its citizens and Russophiles against a Ukrainian aggression, then Russia will be seen guilty all over Europe. And sanctions will be activated no matter what the cost for Europeans. NS2 will remain empty for a long time.
On this point, Scott Ritter is very much mistaken. He has not understood that European leaders are suicidal wimps.

It seems to me Scott Ritter does not read enough of this Blog and too much of the Pentagon/State Department/CIA press-blog, Aka the press of the self-righteous.

By the way, according to a Frenchman on the spot, the Donbass has been the victim of serious artillery bombardment for 36 hours. The artillery extends its fire to 15-20 km, 10 milles. Destruction is aimed at civilian infrastructure.
Concentration of Ukie troops all along the 480 km of the grey zone.

The last 5 years has been insane. Trump, BLM, Covid, climate change, Russia,…

Is it just me or has the propaganda from the Globalist Empire really gotten that ludicrous?

A dozen years ago I started my day with Morning Joe and ended with I>The Colbert Report. Now when I inadvertently click on those shows I feel like Will Farrell’s character in Zoolander, “I feel like I’m taking crazy pills!”

When I read a legacy press article on a political or geopolitical issue I think— to paraphrase Mary McCarthy— “Every word they write is a lie, including ‘and’ and ‘the’.”

    “We know they are lying.
    They know they are lying,
They know that we know they are lying.
We know that they know that we know they are lying.
And still they continue to lie.”

The hole in the kindergarten wall, if genuinely caused by fire, would seem to me to be direct fire by a tank firing APDS.

HE or HESH rounds would have blown the wall and kindergarten to smitherenes.

        • Philip Owen says:

The kindergarten is in the Ukrainian held area. Are the insurgents moving their tanks to the front line?

          • Leith says:

Stanytsia Luhanska is in a so-called ‘Disengagement Area’ close to the contact line. There is a forward patrol base for OSCE observers near there. Perhaps they were the target and some deadeye dick aimed wrong? Or more likely it was a stray round.

            https://www.osce.org/files/f/f/map_settlements–2021-06-17.jpg?itok=40886

          • Pat Lang says:

TTG suggested that the rebels might seek to provoke an incident to draw in Russian intervention??

          • TTG says:

            Leith and pl,

OSCE observers reported LPR/DPR artillery strikes all along the line of contact. “32 artillery rounds (122 mm caliber) were fired by Russian militants against Ukrainian-controlled Stanytsya Luhanska.” That school must have been hit by a chunk of shrapnel rather than a direct hit with a 122 shell.

This all sounds very much like Georgia. The South Ossetian rebels shelled Georgian villages and provoked a counter attack which gave Russia the needed provocation. They also claimed to be withdrawing troops a few days before attacking.

          • Pat Lang says:

            TTG
So, you agree with the Bidenistas that a provocation is underway intended to provoke a Ukraine response that will justify Russian Army intervention?

          • TTG says:

Looking a little closer at that kindergarten wall, I think it may have taken a direct hit. That’s a massive masonry wall that looks very similar to the walls I’ve seen in Germany. Those walls can absorb punishment. They’re nothing like house construction in the US. A 122 shell would blow one of our houses apart or even pass through both walls before detonating. A lot of the plaster/cement covering was blown off the outside of that school wall which also suggests a direct hit.

          • Pat Lang says:

            TTG
It looks a lot like a hit from a tank gun or some other large bore direct fire weapon. I have been in a lot of houses in Palestine that were shot at by IDF tanks. It looks like that.

          • TTG says:

            pl,

This shelling is not necessarily an attempt to draw a provocation. It could be just the DPR and LNR rebels feeling froggy. It was more shelling than usual. The OSCE observers are still there. That the Ukrainians didn’t return fire does show a much higher level of discipline within the Ukrainian ranks than was years ago. Border crossing points along the line of contact are still open and in use in both directions.

          • Eric Newhill says:

Looks like a hit from an AP round from a direct fire gun, like a tank (per Col Lang); not HE. Some of windows in the room and surrounding building are still pretty much together or even undamaged, which, IMO, they would not be if an explosion occurred (i.e. an HE round). If AP, then it could easily a stray round (as Leith says) or even a ricochet. But what were they shooting at with AP? Normally, that would indicate a tank was the target. I think I see that there are buildings in the line of direct sight to the hole. If true then the round would have had to be fired from very close to the building.

I have hope that the corrupt elements of all the world’s governments will be exposed. I have hope that human traffickers will be brought to justice and prevented from repeating their atrocities.

I was looking at the photo of the Ukranian kindergarden classroom hit by the Separatist/Russians. While I have not been shelled by artillery in 54 years, I thought that the lack of shrapnel hits inside the room were a bit strange. While something knocked a hole in the wall, I have doubts that it was an artillery shell as reported.

  12. Leith says:

National Resistance Forces in Afghanistan are reporting that the Taliban has moved more than 20.000 new fighters to the northern provinces. Some on twitter are claiming that many of the new fighters are Pakistani.

    Spring offensive?

That will not only affect Panjshir and adjoining provinces but others also. There have been uprisings of ethnic Uzbek civilians against the Talibs in the northwestern province of Jowzan. After Taliban reprisals some Uzbek Talibs deserted and joined the resistance. (I’m not sure that is a good thing, but the enemy of my enemy ….. etc.) General Dostum’s son has a resistance unit there and has been assassinating Taliban emirs and ambushing Taliban patrols. Ethnic Tajiks in Baghlan province have similarly been fighting back, and setting up their own road checkpoints in places. As have the Hazaras.

Pakistan is denying reports that the ISI Director General met in Turkey with anti-Taliban leaders Dostum, Noor and Haji Mohaqiq in Ankara in Turkey. Calls it fake news instigated by India. But there are other reports that the ISI Chief also met with Ahmad Massoud in an undisclosed third country (Tajikistan maybe?).

Hillary, from a federal penitentiary, mumbles “Veni, Vidi, Vinci” into a microphone, weeping. No? Okay, maybe everything up to Trump becoming 47th President.

The Minsk agreements logically require a Federal structure for Ukraine. With the move of embassies to Lvov, capital of Galicia are we seeing the outline of a new structure with the rest of Ukraine being dumped on Russia as an economic Black Hole. Ukraine is currently being supplied with gas via a third party and backflow through a pipeline that once carried gas westwards. A flow easily stopped as I doubt Kiev is paying for it. The transit contract with Russia is also drawing to a close along with the income it generates.
Lots of shape-shifting as you would expect.

Maybe in a few years there may be acknowledgment by at least a near majority that The Science was unscientific and covidian policies were a test run on how fascism could be imposed in the west with the full acquiescence of the majority.

We now know at least that Australia, Canada and New Zealand among the Anglosphere have majority populations that don’t really care about liberty. Although at least a few have woken up there to the reality of their overlords.

    • walrus says:

      Careful Sam,

Australians know the difference and are quite capable of determining liberty from licence. For your information, the time for lockdowns is past, mask wearing is minimal, movement controls are gone because most of the population is vaccinated. The sick are generally those who didn’t want to get vaccinated.

We have Federal elections coming up in about 12 weeks and we will decide on what we think of the Governments efforts at the ballot box. So far its not looking good for the Government.
