There you have it. The list of so-called intelligence professionals who, instead of pursuing truth, sold their souls for partisan benefit. Each ignored the oath they took to protect and defend the Constitution. But there is a silver lining. We now have a list of persons who are probably responsible for the host of intelligence failures that have unfolded over the last twenty years. Think Iraq and Afghanistan for starters.

I had a commander who use to constantly quote great leaders when he spoke to units and jr. officers. He had a large bag of quotes for any situation. Really inspiring stuff and if you didn’t personally know him, he could absolutely make you believe he was the apex of integrity. For those of us that did personally know him however, it was pure comedy. The guy was the pit of morale bankruptcy.

During the whole Russia drama there was one person that reminded me of that commander; James Comey. A notorious “quoter” of famous leaders, authors and constantly discussing books on the subject matter of leadership. I think I recall he even had a book club while at the FBI for subordinates. Unfortunately for James, he never could apply any of it to his own life. The one moment in time he could have even become a great leader he hid in the corner.

I’m not sure if these agencies can ever be righted at this point. It’s a big cartel and historically those can only be taken down by a bigger badder cartel but I still have faith that maybe it can with more people like Mr. Mac; a real leader.

Thank you for writing this Larry – it was a disgrace. I notice a lot of desk jockeys among the signatories and also that unimaginably creepy Michael Morell, who accused Trump of being a Russian agent. Also note this story today about plans to kidnap or assassinate Julien Assange. However one feels about Assange I get the feeling that there is something badly wrong with what has been going on in Washington since the asinine Global War on Terror began!

    • John+Merryman says:

It will be interesting to see how the Assange situation unfolds. I doubt they really want o bring him back to the US and put him on trial. Think of the levels of cognitive dissonance that would require. They want him as an example, not a martyr. So it seems more a matter of keeping him in an English jail until he conveniently dies.
Personally I wrote in Assange/Manning in the last election and will likely do so in the next, dead, or alive.

Micheal Morrell shares a thread between the immediate Benghazi lies handed to Clinton to parrot, and the intentionally duplicitous Clinton ginned up Russiagate.

Where was Barry Soetoro between 16:00 and 22:00 on Sept 11, 2012?

    • Lysias says:

Why does Pompeio (or anybody else) think Assange is under any obligation to obey U.S. law?

    • Sam says:

Great and very important report by three @YahooNews journalist on how CIA spent years plotting against WikiLeaks, including with plans to kidnap or even kill Assange. Mike Pompeo was the key driver. He has snowed many MAGA people: he’s pure Deep State.

Pompous was nominated as Director of CIA and then Secretary of State by Trump. One would say that the Trump administration by and large hired from the Deep State pol.

    • Sam says:

Julian Assange speaking in 2011: “The goal is to use Afghanistan to wash money out of the tax bases of the US and Europe through Afghanistan and back into the hands of a transnational security elite. The goal is an endless war, not a successful war” #Afghanistan

Julian was spot on a decade ago. Our children could have saved a trillion in debt if we had acted to stop the grift. But more importantly deprived the Party of Davos a trillion. Of course they gained several trillion more under the Trump & Biden administrations.

  3. Muralidhar Rao says:

Mr. Johnson I admire your integrity and pursuit of truth. However if you look at the situation in our intelligence services it reminds me of George Tenet who peddled Afghan story about 9/11 and then moved on to Iraq WMD story and got us into the morass and cost us 8 Trillion dollars and close to 6000 deaths of our soldiers and uncountable Afghan and Iraqi casualties and what happened to him? He recieved a Presidential Medal of Freedom. Accountability for these guys let us wake up from the deep slumber. Thanks

    • Deap says:

A cruel lesson is if you don’t send insider crooks out with public accolades, they turn around and write vengeful tell-all books from their insider perspective.

Because GW Bush had been seasoned by prior political experience, he knew this. Trump did not – he just fired they asses and kicked them out the door which is exactly what they deserved. But did not appreciate the power of their poisoned pens, after the fact.

  5. JK/AR says:

    Larry, Colonel Lang, Anybody,

Is this list of ‘Who’s Who’ partly (perhaps even, primarily) the cause from the get-go that General Flynn had to be taken out?

  6. strateshooter says:

the question for me , as a Brit , is this :

Given the US system of having to get swamp positions filled via the nomination process how does ANY future US President overcome the deep seated DC based corruption now so evident to millions.
We now know (because the trump takedown effort exposed them)the rot exists at al levels > both political parties, CIA, DOJ, FBI etc + your media is obviously now a sub-branch of Government but just HOW can it now be removed and the power of WE THE PEOPLE be restored.

For the sake of Democracy everywhere , I hope you guys have a plan because the modern Democrat Party reminds me more and more of Nazism in its tactics.

  7. fakebot says:

There’s somethings I wish I could un-see. That picture of Hunter being one of them.
