Biden’s medical history

Joebench

"Biden underwent a microsurgical craniotomy of the right side of his brain at Walter Reed Hospital where he was taken in February 1988 after passing out in a hotel room following a speech he gave at the University of Rochester. A scan revealed an aneurysm at the base of his brain.

The operation was successful. However, he was forced to return to the hospital for a second brain aneurysm operation on the other side of his brain three months later.

Dr. Kassell has maintained that the two brain aneurysms that Biden suffered in 1988 were fully treated and that Biden showed no mental trouble as a result.

Kassell in an August 2019 interview with Politico said Biden “is every bit as sharp as he was 31 years ago. I haven’t seen any change. I can tell you with absolute certainty that he had no brain damage.”

That was then, this is now. So, Joe, can we ask you about it?"  Boston Herald

OK Joe.  OK.  Nancy is preparing a scheme that would allow her to remove you under the 25th Amendment when you stumble a bit.  pl

Maybe he wasn’t too sharp 31 years ago either.

  2. Bobo says:

I look at Nancy’s push on the 25th amendment as a signal from an astute politician that she believes Trump will be winning this election. She was never a long term thinker but one whose horizon was only what was in her grasp. Everyone knows Kampala will be pushing Joe out the door within 18 months and his Mom will accept as Joe had done his job. So back to Nancy, she has held on to power for a long while and knows she only has a few terms to go thus she is not going before Trump. Thus the reasoning for the amendment change. What else could it be! But a gift from the heavens.

  3. Deap says:

Nancy is all theater; no substance. No wonder her forehead-lifted eyebrows now display a look of permanent alarm.
Mr DeMille, she coos, I am now ready for my close-up.

  4. Deap says:

Recall in 2018 when Democrats won back the House, there was growing rebellion against Nancy Pelosi to be re-elected Speaker because they blamed her for the recent string of Democrat losses.
Pelosi fended off this rebellion promising to be Speaker for just one more term – 2018 until 2020. Promises made, promises kept? Nope, that truism belongs only to President Donald J. Trump.
In the past two years of the Pelosi reign, no other Democrat has emerged as a high profile successor should Democrats retain the House in 2020. What happened to those forces of 2018 rebellion, once Queen Nancy retook the reins of power?
Or is time to rehabilitate The Wasserpoodle and bring her back from Democrat Siberia. Does the magic wand get passed to The Squad as the First Collective Leadership in Congress? Who was able to get in front of Pelosi hogging all the Democrat headlines these past few years?

Joe is a very lucky man. One of my coworkers died of a brain aneurysm a month ago at age 44. Left a wife and two teenage children. “Liberal media avoids quizzing Biden on brain surgery.” That’s a heck of a headline – from June. Still a resounding silence from the press.

  6. Rick Merlotti says:

If they did a scan now, they’d find nothing, nothing at all.

  7. akaPatience says:

This is simply yet another issue that’s elicited leftist gaslighting. The MSM/Democrats/NeverTrumpers rely on the willful ignorance and laziness of their audiences who otherwise could easily see for themselves – if they’d bother to look – the degree of Biden’s cognitive deficiency. There are just too many instances of it to be ignored, so audacious lying is in order.

  8. Diana Croissant says:

I don’t know. The doctors may be right that Joe’s brain is now o.k. without those aneurysms; however, it doesn’t mean that Joe has ever really USED his brain enough to raise his I.Q. or to learn anything that might help him be a good President.
I think he was mentally and emotionally stunted by the whole Corn Pop episode in his life.

  9. Yeah, Right says:

Hard for the media to run with this, because there is no way to give the story any legs.
Reporter: Are you now suffering the delayed effects of those two brain operations?
    Biden: No.
Reporter: Are you certain about that?
    Biden: Absolutely.
You need a hook to hang this story on, because without that ten it simply isn’t a story.

  10. turcopolier says:

    Yeah, right
Absolutely. When he blows a gasket then there will be a story.

  11. PRC90 says:

    The hypothetical conversation could continue.
Reporter: And do you remember much about the time you passed out in ’88 and then had the operation ?
Biden: Nope, don’t remember a thing, like it never happened.

  12. Yeah, Right says:

Agreed, but if both aneurysms were dealt with in 1988 then it’s doubtful if there is a gasket threatening to blow.
More likely the trauma of those two procedures are now manifesting a long-delayed effect. Possible, I guess, not impossible to prove.
But, yes, if his head explodes like the opening scene in “Scanners” then that is worthy of splattering over every front page on earth.

  13. turcopolier says:

    Yeah, right
My mother’s family are prone to aneurysms. Grandfather Wilfred died of one coming apart in the middle of his back. Two aunts that I can name died of aneurysms in the head. There may be others but I don’t remember just now. If you have this kind of systemic blood vessel weakness, repair in two places does not obviate the chance of other such weaknesses.

  14. Yeah, Right says:

My father-in-law died from a cerebral aneurysm. At least it was quick.
Agree that there is a genetic component to aneurysms. Not so in his case, certainly nobody else in the family that I am aware of.
And it isn’t always the case: disease and poor lifestyle choices are also major risk factors. Smoking and obesity in particular. My father-in-law was at extreme risk from both, and paid the price.
It would be a valid question to ask Biden if there is a history of aneurysms in his family tree. But if there isn’t then that’s pretty much the limit of how far the press can push this.

  15. Deap says:

Another website is running photos today of Biden at his recent Arizona “mega rally” (zero in attendance) and promptly labeled them “Skeletor”.
Apparently, those gaunt shots were quickly taken down, but not replaced with anything much better. Though, Biden appeared reasonably robust during the debate. Definitely the camera did not add five pounds to Joe’s weakening visage in these recent shots.
