While Fox is struggling compared to last year, it is outpacing CNN and MSNBC. They were competitive with Fox in November 2020 and, in some cases (such as Rachel Maddow) they were walloping Fox. Those days are done.

MSNBC’s numbers are almost as bad as CNN’s, but there are two exceptions–Rachel Maddow and Lawrence O’Donnell. Maddow is besting Hannity on most nights while Lawrence O’Donnell is competitive with Laura Ingraham.

When you compare August 2020 to March 2021 for total viewers in the 8 pm and 9pm timeslots you will see how big a decline Cable News has suffered–8pm has 4,055,000 fewer viewers and 9pm dropped by 4,162,000.
I do not believe this drop is going to change significantly in the future. I am sure that CNN and MSNBC will get a daytime boost out of the George Floyd hearings, but the evening with Donald Trump to bash leaves CNN and MSNBC scrambling to find their raison d’etre.
This is a good thing. Finally people are doing something other than hanging on every insane utterance made by Trump or the insane reactions to those utterances. It’s about time everyone got a life.
Ditto for Rush Limbaugh. Now “conservatives/republicans” can possibly find their own set of balls and not hang on what Rush would say. Rush never criticized Reagan, the Bushes, or Trump even when they made disastrous mistakes. Reagan amnesty, Bushes let the border stay open, Iraq war, Trumps many errors in choosing advisers, etc. Somehow we ended up with Obama/Biden/Harris despite the wonderfulness of conservatives in White House, Senate, House reps. Republican leadership simply cannot preserve the United States. They are always fighting a rearguard action even when they controlled the house and senate and presidency. Even if conservatives secede from blue states it will all come to a violent conclusion.
Reagan “amnesty” was not a mistake; it was an intentional betrayal. His plan was secure the border first; then deal with amnesty. A quid pro quo.
The pivotal moment of this betrayal is we only got one part of the bargain – amnesty but no border security. Why this betrayal and by whom deserves exploration.
Add in the contemporaneous 1982 SCOTUS mandate of free K-12 for all illegals and you have the early seeds of today’s border crashing disaster.
Well its good to know that those +5 million viewers are on to something else at +21:00 hours. Obviously some are getting more sleep, others may be increasing the population, some reading more…..hopefully those TDS characters are healing till another day.
Ratings are collapsing because the audience got fed up with the lying.
