    I Have enjoyed Salmon Fishing all my Life..Mostly Charters..ith a Mixed Catch of ast ,Cod..which the crew fillets…and later For Salmon..Always Enjoyable…These past few Years..I Fish from The Beach,,In Hip Boots..Using Steelhead Spinning Gear With A Buzz Bomb Lure…Catch up to Two on Good Days..Bring a chair for SWMBO,,She Loves It..Makes Friends with Many People and Kids…With A Cook Catch…I Cut up Enough to Brine a Cook in My Smoker..Using My Dads Old Receipt,,Thats When Life is good..

      Jim, is that a secret recipe…..in case you feel like sharing. All my salmon fishing is with home made fly on East coast fast flowing rivers.

        Hope Your Doing Well..and with your Fishing…Dads recipe is not secret…But I have not somked any fish for three or four years and its put away with my Smoker..Its a Mix of Kosher Salt..Brown Sugar..White Sugar,,with Water . Usally have Five Pound Fillets..Cut Into 3 ” Wide Chunks…Wash Them Really Good Good under running water..I our My Brine in a Plastic Bin..Put The Fish in and Let It Marinate over nite…Next Morning..I Rinse them to kee some salt out..Go Outside..In The Morning..Start My Smoker..Using Hickoy Chips ..I then Load the Fish on The Racks..and smoke them all Day..I Set Egg cartons on a Side Table..To Place them on When I Take them Out..When I find the Recipe..I will send it if you like…

        My Dad Was A Master River Fisherman..Published in Magazines..”Salmon..trout and Steeheader..”He used a Large Refrigerator on his Patio…for Smoking..

        Where I Fish..there are Lines of Fly Fishermen..Spinning Gear Guys..And Bait Fishermen in the Deeper water Using Herrings..I Usally get the Five to Six Pounders..Coming Closer to Shore..

          Sounds tasty JT. I plan on trying out your Hickory recipe next time. I’ve generally used Alder for smoking in the past. Have had bad luck using Apple.

    Hooray! And to top it off a bunch of Chinese defense instalations on those islands in the South China sea are going to get submerged by the same global warming.

      If indeed the Illegal Chinese Military Settlement Islands on the West Bank of the China Sea get flooded by global warming, then everything else by the side of the sea at the same elevation as those Illegal Chinese Military Settlement Islands will also get flooded by the same global warming.

      If that is what is happening. Which I, personally, think is what is happening.

    Fred..I This was an 80 Year timeline..IF The Event Actually Happens..and ItsNOT an Absolute..Alot Can happen…Over 80 Years..The Chinese Bases Are Current Time..And Will Remain Operational..For CURRET Events. IMO

    O/T but I thought the Committee may be interested in the latest National Terrorism Advisory System (NTAS) Bulletin dated February 7th. One choice extract says the following:

    As COVID-19 restrictions continue to decrease nationwide, increased access to commercial and government facilities and the rising number of mass gatherings could provide increased opportunities for individuals looking to commit acts of violence to do so, often with little or no warning. Meanwhile, COVID-19 mitigation measures—particularly COVID-19 vaccine and mask mandates—have been used by domestic violent extremists to justify violence since 2020 and could continue to inspire these extremists to target government, healthcare, and academic institutions that they associate with those measures

    No examples of the violence referred to are given and isn’t “increased access to.. ..commercial.. ..facilities” going to work? And I guess if you see people exercising their right to protest as domestic terrorists maybe “mass gatherings” (like the Superbowl?) are dangerous. This part also reads to me very much like a pre-emptive measure against a Freedom Convoy of the kind that sent Trudeau scurrying into his bunker. No doubt jorts-clad federal agents are as we speak preparing to infiltrate monitor any such rally and wave confiscate Confederate flags & other despicable symbols of hate. \s

    The bulletin opens with a description of “a heightened threat environment” fueled by “mis- dis- and mal-information” – which is given its own catchy acronym: MDM. This government wants all you extremists out there who think the individual ought to have a choice in what gets injected into their body to shut up and accept the calm of despotism that is its absolute power. As a haven for extremists sharing MDM about crazy notions like upholding constitutionally guaranteed freedoms, this blog is doubtless on a NTAS blacklist somewhere.
