The romantic ideal of blossoming love. Almost lost from our culture. There. Quite a shock in its own way.

I saw this performance, and was genuinely moved by it. This was after scoffing wildly every time ice dancing came, with the silly costumes, the relatively) simple maneuvering, and such. They by comparison, descended into the competition with an almost modest and unpretentious grace that blew the competition away with a simply elegant and perfect synchrony where the meaning of the sport finally emerged with all its potential in clear view.
One of the best Olympic moments so far, and something I would never would or could have predicted.
