I loved the story about police forces in Iraq receiving fleets of Chevy Silverados. I guess that’s one way for Detroit to increase market share: impose our cars on a conquered nation.
Didn’t Bush say that he’d demolish Abu Ghraib?
Although every issue states on page two that, “Some faces of Iraqi soldiers and police have been altered to protect their identities,” the alterations in the photo on page eight were made to “Maj. Gen. Ibrahim, MOD media director” and “Col. Ali, Joint Headquarters public affairs director.”
A major general and a colonel of public relations, at high levels, who can’t afford to have their faces revealed. This would mean no press conferences or media events at all for them. The situation must have deteriorated further than even cynics like myself had assumed, unless they’re actually behind the scenes spinmeisters involved in clandestine information operations. If that is the case, why would they allow themselves to be photographed, let alone permit their pictures to be published?
Considering the false intel that Chalabi produced, and his revealed relationship with Iran, perhaps as an asset, could it be that the present situation in Iraq is of Iranian making? After all, we got rid of Saddam for them. We also have turned out to be stretched out way too thin. (What kind of Empire is this, anyway?)
When you see groups loyal to Iran at work in Iraq, maybe this was planned to happen. Expansion? Just how much of we did in this war is the result of somebody elses plan?
