Fairfax condemned fellow Democrats for calling for his resignation in 2019 when two women claimed that he sexually assaulted them in separate incidents in the early 2000s. No criminal investigation was ever conducted, and Fairfax denied the charges and refused to step down.
“The murder of George Floyd was horrific,” Fairfax said in response to a debate question about police reform and racial equity in the criminal justice system. “But it recalls a history in Virginia and in our nation where African Americans — and particularly African American men — are presumed to be guilty.”
“I was falsely accused,” Fairfax said. “He treated me like George Floyd. He treated me like Emmett Till. No due process. Immediately assumed my guilt. I have a son, and I have a daughter. I never want my daughter to be assaulted, and I never want my son to be falsely accused. And yet this is the real world we live in.”
Justin Fairfax is a souless miscreant. How dare he dredge up the memory of Emmett Till and paint himself as a victim. Do you recall the facts about Emmett Till?
[Emmett] was a 14-year-old African American who was lynched in Mississippi in 1955, after being accused of offending a white woman in her family’s grocery store. . . . Till was accused of flirting with or whistling at Bryant. . . . [Till’s attackers] took him away and beat and mutilated him before shooting him in the head and sinking his body in the Tallahatchie River.
Does that sound like what happened to Justin Fairfax? Justin was not accused of “whistling” at a white woman. He stands accused by two respectable black women.
And did you catch the George Floyd reference? Is Justin suggesting that he was hooping fentanyl and passing counterfeit money to a merchant?
The audacity of a brute like Fairfax is what has sickened much of the American public about the state of our so-called leaders. They are scum.
And this is not about the color of Fairfax’s skin. We see the same standard of ignoring credible allegations in the case of Governor Andrew Cuomo. Randy Andy got hit with another bombshell today from one of the women charging him with sexual harassment:
The female aide who’s accused Gov. Andrew Cuomo of groping her broke her silence to provide a vivid account of the alleged incident — describing how he “pulled me close” and stuck his hand under her blouse.
Justice is supposed to be blind and fair. Both Cuomo and Fairfax are entitled to due process. But that was not their position when groundless accusations were hurled against Judge Brent Kavanaugh. The double standard on display is worthy of the Twilight Zone.
Also important to emphasize that the women accusing Fairfax and Cuomo are entitled to being heard and having their claims investigated. Sadly, Cuomo and Fairfax exemplify the inequities and the the corruption of America’s system of justice. If you are connected and have the press on your side, you get a walk. Joe Biden and his State Department no longer have the moral authority to lecture any foreign leader on human rights and justice.

At least a democrat finally targeted Terry McAuliffe.
They do this to Kavanaugh and its not fair either there, to say the least.
An accusation of rape is worth about as much as the paper its written on or bytes its transmitted through. If a victim wants an alleged perpetrator punished for their crimes, the allegation has to be made to official authorities in a timeframe that allows the accusation to be investigated.
You don’t get to come back 10, or 30 years later, and say “this is what happened so this guy is no good”. Doesn’t work at all. Nor does it work to say “the Democrats are irrational about accusations, so we should be too”. Have to keep principles intact.
Like it did for Juanita Broaddrick and Paula Jones? Accusations worked on getting Senator Frankin to resign, though I don’t think the Lt. Governor will do so any more than people thought Bill Clinton would.
I could have been more clear…..I didnt mean to say they don’t work in terms of function. These sorts of accusations are definitely effective to destroy or paralyze a public figure.
I meant that they just don’t work for me, on principle. I’m not a fan of this thing where women can hold an accusation in reserve until an important moment in their accused’s life, or even just until they feel “comfortable” alleging it. Really bad pattern.l of this last few years.
It is kind of like animal farm: some pigs are more equal than others and its racist to accuse favored pigs of rape even when the evidence unambiguously proves they are guilty.

You should read what Larry wrote more carefully. He wrote Cuomo and Fairfax are hypocrites for their attacks on Kavanaugh. Larry then added PEOPLE who are connected and have the press on their side walk. Larry also mentioned the fact Democrats had called for Fairfax’s resignation.
Democrats don’t suddenly get to be all high and might with their moral authority because this one time they demanded the resignation of Fairfax.

Hillary Clinton is on tape laughing about how she manipulated state evidence which helped to keep a pedophile rapist out of jail.
Bill Clinton used to bite women and then forces himself on them. Some described these encounters as consensual, Juanita Broaddrick described it as rape.
Joe Biden was accused by an office aid of unwanted kissing and inappropriately touching her vagina (Trump brags, Biden grabs). There are videos of him ogling and fondling women and girls who were clearly made uncomfortable by his creepy behavior.
I’ve never seen Democrats or the press lining up to demand their resignations, have you?
