A happy and joyous Easter to all.
I am an atheist but I am in no mood to joke about Christian “sacrifice” especially as we are courting disaster (Eschaton as a solution to all problems).
I would suggest looking at René Girard works to have an idea of what I am talking about.
I am not an atheist and I take no offense at Mark Gaughan’s humor. It brought a smile to my face. Lighten up.
I am not an atheist and I enjoyed it as well. The entire world would do well to lighten up!
As a strict Missouri Synod Lutheran, my early days were filled with Bach, Teleman, Hayden, and Handel. Today I am away from god but have always considered the Messiah to be a glorius achievement of man. “Go forth and make a joyful noise unto the Lord”. Thanks for letting me end Easter Day with the sounds of Handel … beautiful.
You didn’t understand my point because you didn’t look at the link.
May be never heard of René Girard. 🙂
I read your link because I was only vaguely familiar with René Girard and his theories. I’m far more familiar with Mircea Eliade’s works. I still don’t understand your animosity towards this particular piece of humor. My recommendation to lighten up stands.
Watched a beautiful Easter sunrise this AM.
Happy Easter to those who are celebrating
