There’s a hugely vocal minority that is the vanguard of wokeism. They also happen to be white. Wokeism is being pushed as a tool to consolidate power and prevent providing any platform for dissent. It is part and parcel of an attempt to create a groupthink orthodoxy.
Why is this largely white, politically powerful group attacking their own ethnic group to silence their political opponents? Why are they pushing for more racial discrimination, segregation and identification when America is slowly but surely becoming more color blind? Where do they think this leads to? It would appear that this would be a perfect campaign by America’s adversaries to destroy it from the inside since they can’t attack and succeed in a direct military confrontation.

Ok, I can go along with this. But repopulating of the U.S. with underclass from the Third World— which is what’s going on now— will not be good for the U.S. I know people who work for USCIS who previously worked for NGO’s in Central America assisting peasants in getting fully-subsidized immigration into the U.S. and applying for U.S. government benefits. This is while they were living Guatemala City.
California is no longer an Anglo-majority state. Largest group today are hispanics, close to being over 50% if this has not happened already.
However, all “minority” protections for hispanics remain firmly in place. No “minority” preferences are available for Anglos even though they are now clearly a minority; just not aa legally mandated “protected minority”.
Most operations everywhere are bi-lingual Spanish-English. It was a novelty at first, now it is a entry level job requirement so guess who gets hired and guess who gets a pass due to lack of necessary qualifications.
Right now the minority status demographic stakes are shared with anglos, asians and blacks. It happened very quickly – 5-6 birth rates for Hispanics, and declining birth rates for everyone else.
What has this “latinization” brought to California governance? The same as what you see in any third world nation many have emerged from: raid the treasury and hire the relatives.
I don’t believe in “whiteness” as a physical reality because Irish used to be “nonwhite” and Irish people are notably pale-skinned.

I think “white” is a label invented by rich people in the 1700s to keep the Irish serfs from fraternizing with the black chattel slaves. I am open to scholarly correction from experts — and I know I am not an expert compared to many of the readers of this board.
All that being said, I think the linked article is missing the point. The article claims:

If “white” is just a subjective perception, then we can all agree that Snoop Dogg is white, and he will be “white” so far as we can tell. That does not change genetics. Terms like “white” or “East Asian” are social constructions. Terms like “haplogroup” or “autosomal recessive genetic disorder” are not just social constructions. The entire nation of Israel could accept Snoop Dogg as Israeli, but Snoop Dogg will not become vulnerable to Tay-Sachs, because genes don’t care about our subjective feelings and socially constructed narratives.
America can always call itself “majority white” if America changes the definition of “white” to mean something different every year. I don’t object to demographic change — because demographic change is much bigger than I am, and it will happen as it pleases regardless of whether I object. But I do object to unscientific and unscholarly distortions of terminology. If particular genetic groups are going to fail to reproduce, let us document that fact objectively. Probably America will be wonderful when it is a beige country, but let us not deceive ourselves. Let us be honest and admit that beige is not the same thing as white.

The demographic transition has already been causing upheaval for years. The upheaval has been real and continues to be real. Some people have been winners and others have been losers. Let us not pretend that everybody will be a winner and the future beige America will be a utopia.

Wrong. Nobody voted for this. Beige Americans receive affirmative action. Barak Obama and a recent Salvadoran emigree both are eligible for affirmative action.

Amy Chua (Tiger Mom) researched qualities that concentrate in some ethnic groups that account for their relative success, regardless of external factors or numbers.
She called this the Triple Threat and it was primarily a strong sense of self-worth that simply came with the territory. And persistence when faced with problem solving. Not a victim in the whole lot, though all coming from a wide ranges of socio-economic levels and education.
She found the Triple Threat qualities present in Jews, Nigerians, Chinese…. and a few others. Can’t remember all the details. But mainly the conclusion from her research, while at Yale I believe, was it was not color or racial by any means, but a deep confidence supported by culture that formed these successful common personality denominators.
Correction. Ms Chua called this uniquely successful collection of personal traits and value systems “The Triple Package” – and found these three cultural qualities present among the following ethnic/national/religious groups:

Indian
Chinese
Iranian
Lebanese-Americans
Nigerians
Cuban exiles
Mormons
Considering the power of the church in minority and immigrant communities, they are also quite conservative.
As for sexual dysfunction or ambiguity, trying to make it a political issue opens a large can of worms, given it goes deeper than the difference between flora and fauna.

Demographic change is inevitable. It has given a hybrid vigor to our country. The trick is to do as good a job of assimilation as our ancestors did in forming an evolving culture.
We assimilated basically European origin cultures; not ones outside of our shared Western History heritage and Judeo-Christian value systems. Legal immigration processes and granting legal status to former slaves increases their investment in integration.
Now millions living in the shadows after illegal immigration, staying within their own language groups, while being taught to hate America and its history was never part of earlier immigration waves.
This sudden influx at this particular time in the fully developed contemporary hate America culture is a new one for us. Best exemplified by the defiant Squad. And the decline and fall of the state of California.

I think this is very difficult in the 21st century. The US Military is to be praised for its excellent work in integrating high-IQ people of all races. However, the US Military is legally allowed to exclude low-IQ individuals of all races. I have personally known numerous US military men who have had little formal education but great practical wisdom and high IQs.
People with low IQs are sometimes violent in ways that might be surprising to people with high IQs. People with high IQs often overestimate the IQs of other people. I fear that the military thinkers who believe integration will be easy are too optimistic because their IQs are very high.

There has been crickets in the media about this possible hate crime.

Here is a nightmare scenario: Suppose that the white gene pool continues shrinking, white women continue to avoid having white babies, and foreign-born unassimilated immigrants are the most enthusiastic force in the USA. Whites who warn of racial instability are “cancelled.” And then suppose the whites are too few to resist when the various nonwhite subgroups murder each other. Does this scenario seem far-fetched?
A beige colored USA is a good thing if you don’t care for clean orderly societies where it’s safe to walk the streets at night and where things function well like power and communication grids. A beige colored USA is an hispanic USA and we have plenty of example of how well those work.

But the inevitability lies not in the realization of some vigorous hybrid, but in conflict, separation, and devolution. A further inevitability is the makeup of the society that follows. The nations that rise from the ashes of failed heterogeneous experiments are distinctly homogeneous.
Appeals to moribund civic nationalism cannot fix the problem and can no more “make these people Americans” than it could make them Japanese. This is doubly so in a political and social environment where stark divisions by race, ethnicity, and creed are assumed to be a social good by those commanding the culture and polity. They have a stranglehold on elite media, academia, government, and commerce, and express the deepest contempt and unalloyed hatred for the foundational American creed, and those who hold to it, reserving their greatest ire for those who count themselves as among the posterity of foundational American stock. They decry America’s very founding as irredeemably evil, denounce its Constitution as a fundamentally racist document, and anathemize its traditional heroes as bloodthirsty villains. How against such odds do you imagine we might “get busy” and make Americans out of an annual influx of immigrants, illegal and legal, upwards of a million persons each year?
Mr. Lang, the civic nationalism you ascribe to and which was so deeply inculcated in your generation exists now only in myth and memory. And it is arguably how the current crisis was permitted to develop in the first place, as it was co-opted by those who sought to destroy the American nation and replace a republic of sovereign States largely populated by White Christians of Puritan, Cavalier, Quaker, and Scots-Irish ancestry with an empire led by a foreign, anti-Christian and anti-American elite. It is difficult to see how any ideology provides us a viable solution in a post-ideological age.
To dismiss this reality with a “get busy” wave of the hand seems to me particularly cruel, especially from one such as yourself whose storied life is inexorably tied to American social structures and organizing principles long since gone. I went to school with twin brothers who are of Hispanic ancestry. Their family have lived on the same ranch for over 150 years. That would predate many of the Italian and Irish immigration.
I saw an exhibit about the Sikh-Mexican community that existed in the early 20th century some years back. Fascinating history.

E Pluribus Unum is what we need to restore not Critical Race Theory. I don’t get the handwringing I hear from some. Let’s not forget that the Europeans were not all one.
