(Dacha # 27 outside Moscow)

Tulsi Gabbard is an exception to the subject of my title, but she is not going to be nominated.  I am currently contributing to her campaign as a tribute to a gallant lady.

Joe Biden is both sadly demented and deeply compromised to the Chinese Communist Party through his use of his office as VP to fund his son's investment fund with money from China's government owned and run central bank.  His condition and his compromised state will keep him from the WH.

They will both be irrelevant in the 2020 election as well as the Zombie candidates like Bullock, Delaney, etc. i.e. the "moderates."

The rest of the pastiche of 2020 "Democrat" candidates are essentially Globalist advocates of reduced US sovereignty as a step toward their "ideal" of a world socialist state in which they will be part of the new Nomenklatura and will enjoy exemptions from the inevitable shortages of everything resulting from universal "sharing" with the unfortunate masses who will be proletarians engaged in slave labor or doing the gardening at the dachas of people like Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren, Beto O'Roarke and the like.

The barely hidden opposition by the leftist Democrats to border control is telling.  The leftist Democrats want to take down the SW border of the US until it is nothing but a line on the map.  They want to do that that in order to flood the country with illegals who can be voted for Democrat majorities in states where they control the state governments.  Remember, the states run federal elections.

California is an example of dirty dealing intended to further rig election outcomes.  Gavin Newsom, the apparent present leader of the Sacramento cabal, has signed into law a statute seeking to bar Trump from the ballot if he will not surrender his federal tax returns for public inspection.  Was the possibility of illegally voting millions of non-citizens by driver licensing of illegals and their simultaneous voter-registration at the DMV not enough to ensure victory?  Thank god that a change in the number of presidential electors allotted to  California is not within the capability of the Sacramento cabal.

Americans and other people who will vote in 2020 will have a stark choice.  Do you wish to remain living in a sovereign state or do you wish to become a building bloc in a world socialist empire?

Unfortunately the only choice available to the US sovereignty side will be Donald Trump, the real estate hustler from New York City.  Weld is not a serious candidate.  pl

Colonel Lang, Though not much has been said of him, Bill Weld is running for the Republican nomination for president. I have been contributing to his campaign for several months now. I wish other Republicans would join the race.

    David,
Weld is another pro-immigration republican who has less chance than Jeb! had in 2016.

    Brother Pat,
Could the Democratic pushing of open borders have an even more sinister source
i.e. an attempt to realize the North American Union that has been quietly discussed for years? Open borders along with NAFTA goes a long way toward implementing this fantasy.

  5. Stueeeeee says:

Both parties seem inclined to bring about “paradise on earth”. To understand these internationalists, I cite Dostoevsky’s Grand Inquisitor conversation with Christ:
…”‘So that, in truth, Thou didst Thyself lay the foundation for the destruction of Thy kingdom, and no one is more to blame for it. Yet what was offered Thee? There are three powers, three powers alone, able to conquer and to hold captive for ever the conscience of these impotent rebels for their happiness those forces are miracle, mystery and authority. Thou hast rejected all three and hast set the example for doing so. When the wise and dread spirit set Thee on the pinnacle of the temple and said to Thee, “If Thou wouldst know whether Thou art the Son of God then cast Thyself down, for it is written: the angels shall hold him up lest he fall and bruise himself, and Thou shalt know then whether Thou art the Son of God and shalt prove then how great is Thy faith in Thy Father.” But Thou didst refuse and wouldst not cast Thyself down. Oh, of course, Thou didst proudly and well, like God; but the weak, unruly race of men, are they gods? Oh, Thou didst know then that in taking one step, in making one movement to cast Thyself down, Thou wouldst be tempting God and have lost all Thy faith in Him, and wouldst have been dashed to pieces against that earth which Thou didst come to save. And the wise spirit that tempted Thee would have rejoiced. But I ask again, are there many like Thee? And couldst Thou believe for one moment that men, too, could face such a temptation? Is the nature of men such, that they can reject miracle, and at the great moments of their life, the moments of their deepest, most agonising spiritual difficulties, cling only to the free verdict of the heart? Oh, Thou didst know that Thy deed would be recorded in books, would be handed down to remote times and the utmost ends of the earth, and Thou didst hope that man, following Thee, would cling to God and not ask for a miracle. But Thou didst not know that when man rejects miracle he rejects God too; for man seeks not so much God as the miraculous. And as man cannot bear to be without the miraculous, he will create new miracles of his own for himself, and will worship deeds of sorcery and witchcraft, though he might be a hundred times over a rebel, heretic and infidel. Thou didst not come down from the Cross when they shouted to Thee, mocking and reviling Thee, “Come down from the cross and we will believe that Thou art He.” Thou didst not come down, for again Thou wouldst not enslave man by a miracle, and didst crave faith given freely, not based on miracle. Thou didst crave for free love and not the base raptures of the slave before the might that has overawed him for ever. But Thou didst think too highly of men therein, for they are slaves, of course, though rebellious by nature. Look round and judge; fifteen centuries have passed, look upon them. Whom hast Thou raised up to Thyself? I swear, man is weaker and baser by nature than Thou hast believed him! Can he, can he do what Thou didst? By showing him so much respect, Thou didst, as it were, cease to feel for him, for Thou didst ask far too much from him- Thou who hast loved him more than Thyself! Respecting him less, Thou wouldst have asked less of him. That would have been more like love, for his burden would have been lighter. He is weak and vile. What though he is everywhere now rebelling against our power, and proud of his rebellion? It is the pride of a child and a schoolboy. They are little children rioting and barring out the teacher at school. But their childish delight will end; it will cost them dear. Mankind as a whole has always striven to organise a universal state. There have been many great nations with great histories, but the more highly they were developed the more unhappy they were, for they felt more acutely than other people the craving for world-wide union. The great conquerors, Timours and Ghenghis-Khans, whirled like hurricanes over the face of the earth striving to subdue its people, and they too were but the unconscious expression of the same craving for universal unity. Hadst Thou taken the world and Caesar’s purple, Thou wouldst have founded the universal state and have given universal peace. For who can rule men if not he who holds their conscience and their bread in his hands? We have taken the sword of Caesar, and in taking it, of course, have rejected Thee and followed him. Oh, ages are yet to come of the confusion of free thought, of their science and cannibalism. For having begun to build their tower of Babel without us, they will end, of course, with cannibalism. But then the beast will crawl to us and lick our feet and spatter them with tears of blood. And we shall sit upon the beast and raise the cup, and on it will be written, “Mystery.” But then, and only then, the reign of peace and happiness will come for men. Thou art proud of Thine elect, but Thou hast only the elect, while we give rest to all. And besides, how many of those elect, those mighty ones who could become elect, have grown weary waiting for Thee, and have transferred and will transfer the powers of their spirit and the warmth of their heart to the other camp, and end by raising their free banner against Thee. Thou didst Thyself lift up that banner. But with us all will be happy and will no more rebel nor destroy one another as under Thy freedom. Oh, we shall persuade them that they will only become free when they renounce their freedom to us and submit to us. And shall we be right or shall we be lying? They will be convinced that we are right, for they will remember the horrors of slavery and confusion to which Thy freedom brought them. Freedom, free thought, and science will lead them into such straits and will bring them face to face with such marvels and insoluble mysteries, that some of them, the fierce and rebellious, will destroy themselves, others, rebellious but weak, will destroy one another, while the rest, weak and unhappy, will crawl fawning to our feet and whine to us: “Yes, you were right, you alone possess His mystery, and we come back to you, save us from ourselves!”
“‘Receiving bread from us, they will see clearly that we take the bread made by their hands from them, to give it to them, without any miracle. They will see that we do not change the stones to bread, but in truth they will be more thankful for taking it from our hands than for the bread itself! For they will remember only too well that in old days, without our help, even the bread they made turned to stones in their hands, while since they have come back to us, the very stones have turned to bread in their hands. Too, too well will they know the value of complete submission! And until men know that, they will be unhappy. Who is most to blame for their not knowing it?-speak! Who scattered the flock and sent it astray on unknown paths? But the flock will come together again and will submit once more, and then it will be once for all. Then we shall give them the quiet humble happiness of weak creatures such as they are by nature. Oh, we shall persuade them at last not to be proud, for Thou didst lift them up and thereby taught them to be proud. We shall show them that they are weak, that they are only pitiful children, but that childlike happiness is the sweetest of all. They will become timid and will look to us and huddle close to us in fear, as chicks to the hen. They will marvel at us and will be awe-stricken before us, and will be proud at our being so powerful and clever that we have been able to subdue such a turbulent flock of thousands of millions. They will tremble impotently before our wrath, their minds will grow fearful, they will be quick to shed tears like women and children, but they will be just as ready at a sign from us to pass to laughter and rejoicing, to happy mirth and childish song. Yes, we shall set them to work, but in their leisure hours we shall make their life like a child’s game, with children’s songs and innocent dance. Oh, we shall allow them even sin, they are weak and helpless, and they will love us like children because we allow them to sin. We shall tell them that every sin will be expiated, if it is done with our permission, that we allow them to sin because we love them, and the punishment for these sins we take upon ourselves. And we shall take it upon ourselves, and they will adore us as their saviours who have taken on themselves their sins before God. And they will have no secrets from us. We shall allow or forbid them to live with their wives and mistresses, to have or not to have children according to whether they have been obedient or disobedient- and they will submit to us gladly and cheerfully. The most painful secrets of their conscience, all, all they will bring to us, and we shall have an answer for all. And they will be glad to believe our answer, for it will save them from the great anxiety and terrible agony they endure at present in making a free decision for themselves. And all will be happy, all the millions of creatures except the hundred thousand who rule over them. For only we, we who guard the mystery, shall be unhappy. There will be thousands of millions of happy babes, and a hundred thousand sufferers who have taken upon themselves the curse of the knowledge of good and evil. Peacefully they will die, peacefully they will expire in Thy name, and beyond the grave they will find nothing but death. But we shall keep the secret, and for their happiness we shall allure them with the reward of heaven and eternity. Though if there were anything in the other world, it certainly would not be for such as they. It is prophesied that Thou wilt come again in victory, Thou wilt come with Thy chosen, the proud and strong, but we will say that they have only saved themselves, but we have saved all. We are told that the harlot who sits upon the beast, and holds in her hands the mystery, shall be put to shame, that the weak will rise up again, and will rend her royal purple and will strip naked her loathsome body. But then I will stand up and point out to Thee the thousand millions of happy children who have known no sin. And we who have taken their sins upon us for their happiness will stand up before Thee and say: “Judge us if Thou canst and darest.” Know that I fear Thee not. Know that I too have been in the wilderness, I too have lived on roots and locusts, I too prized the freedom with which Thou hast blessed men, and I too was striving to stand among Thy elect, among the strong and powerful, thirsting “to make up the number.” But I awakened and would not serve madness. I turned back and joined the ranks of those who have corrected Thy work. I left the proud and went back to the humble, for the happiness of the humble. What I say to Thee will come to pass, and our dominion will be built up. I repeat, to-morrow Thou shalt see that obedient flock who at a sign from me will hasten to heap up the hot cinders about the pile on which I shall burn Thee for coming to hinder us. For if anyone has ever deserved our fires, it is Thou. To-morrow I shall burn Thee. Dixi.'”*…

It’s even worse than that. An article in the Intercept is telling when it comes to climate change and the migration of millions of people from the third world (The El Paso shooter embraced eco-fascism. We can’t let the far right co-opt the environmental struggle. https://interc.pt/2KhZDPD by @natashalennard):

Bold climate policies like the Green New Deal……….must include a commitment to the free movement of people, especially on the part of countries, like the U.S., that bear vast responsibility for global climate degradation.

In the minds of the radical left, the US owes reparations to the rest of the world for climate change which include accepting millions of migrants.

Globalism does not believe in countries either – they simply get in the way.
The Utopianists, be they Bernie Sanders, ‘Greta Thunberg’, Jeremy Corbyn or AOC, or the millions in between, have been drawn onto the side of Globalism by their common aversion to even the mildest forms of Nationalism.
They have little idea about the real nature of their traveling companion, or that Globalism has at it’s heart the purpose of dominating both capital, labor and Government, and is simply the latest iteration of their old enemy International Capitalism.
The latter of course is fine with the Utopianist’s abandonment of the working class in favor of social justice; that itself is wonderful distraction.
Tulsi would be good, and may actually force her way into the nomination. If not then whoever in the current motley line up actually wins the nomination will not survive the Trump train.

  10. JamesT says:

With respect, Colonel – the number one thing that the US can do to protect its borders is implement exit controls. Exit controls are very effective at stoping illegal immigration. I know from experience because I would have worked illegally in Poland during the year I spent there in 1997 except for the fact that they had exit controls – exit controls which forced me to jump through the hoops necessary to get a work visa and stay compliant with the law.
The fact that neither the US nor Canada have exit controls when every other developed country does have them points to the fact that there is a bipartisan consensus in both countries that illegal immigration is good – good for business, and good for the donors who give politicians their marching orders. As soon as Trump exits the scene Republican politicans will go back to talking tough on the border while ensuring that the flow of undocumented immigratns continues.

I am a well traveled person and have never had an exit visa for any country. The people seeking to illegally immigrate to the US do not want to leave. I don’t understand your point. As for employers wanting a steady stream of immigrant labor, that has always been the case. It was true in the 1850s as well.

  14. Fred says:

    James,
Never heard of Social Security fraud? Whose SSNs were being used by all those illegal immigrants arrested this past weekend? Who was head of HR at those facilites and which executives were knowledgeable about that should be the questions the press ask.

  15. JamesT says:

    Colonel
You have never had an exit visa – but you have had people check your passport when you left the country to make sure you did not stay longer than your entry visa allowed. When I entered Poland I entered on a 3 month tourist visa. If I had overstayed that visa and stayed for 12 months, when I tried to leave the country they would have checked my passport, seen that I had overstayed my visa, and then they would have imprisoned me.
Not everyone who enters the US is sure they are not going to want to leave. Most of them have friends and family back home – and friends and family are very important in latin culture. My point is that both Democrat and Republican politicians have been complicit in encouraging illegal immigration – both parties work together to enable it. Trump has challenged the bipartisan consensus which is why he has been subjected to constant attacks.
I have not seen the Russian film “Brat 2” – but I understand it ends with the Russian hero leaving the US and being told by the US customs agent “You have overstayed your visa! If you leave now, you will never be allowed to return!”. The Russian protagonist smiles and says “That is fine with me”. Of course this is fiction – in real life a Russian flying out of the US would not have his passport checked by a US customs agent, he would just go to the airport and get on the plane.

  16. ex PFC Chuck says:

While the situation is indeed dire, your characterization of the Democratic Party’s role in the matter, and especially in pinning the “socialist” label on them, is grossly misdirected. What we are in the midst of is end-stage financialization In the case of Western industrialized society, it is an instance of financialized capitalism. However financialization has occurred in previous economic systems going back five millennia, as described by Michael Hudson in his book . . and forgive them their debts. I first encountered the term in Kevin Phillips’ book Wealth and Democracy in the mid 1990s, when he noted the correlation between excessive financial sector growth the decline of the Spanish, Dutch and British empires in the 16th, 17th and late 19th-early 20th centuries respectively.
Far from being socialist, the Democratic Party’s New Deal soul was put out for bids with the formation of the Democratic Leadership Council in the mid-1980s, and the deal was closed on the sale to the USA financial sector in 1992-1993 by Bill Clinton. For the next two decaades plus the Party perpetrated fraud on its working class base all the while doing the bidding of the financial sector rentiers as they set up their parasitic toll booths throughout the society, simultaneously discouraging publicly traded industrial corporations from investing domestic facilities. Trump was elected by those former Democratic working class voters who were too angry to vote with their butts on the couch on November 9, 2016.
A quote from Wolfgang Streeck’s How Will Capitalism End describes the insidious financialization process better than I ever could. Streeck works the fuzzy boundary between Sociology and Economics.

“According to [Karl] Polanyi, it is in the logic of capitalist development and its ‘utopia’ of a ‘self-regulating market’ that in order to continue its advance it must strive ultimately to commodify everything. Labour, land and money, however, can be commodified only within narrow bounds if they are to retain their use value: complete commidification destroys them and thereby obstructs rather than enhances capital accumulation. Capitalism, that is to say, can survive only as long as it accepts, voluntarily or not, being prevented by ‘society’ from forcing under its logic what it can fully commodify only at its own detriment. Keeping labour, land and money from complete commodification and thereby protecting them against abuse requires the authority of government. That resource, however, has been thoroughly diminished by globalization. ‘Governance’ is not enough to keep capitalism from going too far and undermining itself. Globalization eats away at political capacities that Marx, in his seminal analysis of the politics of the working day, identified as necessary for solving an otherwise unsolvable collective action problem arising from competitive markets.

The Democratic Party is not advocating the imposition of some version socialism. They are simply doing what their paymasters in the financial sector demand of them and these demands include porous borders and denationalization.

An exit stamp at passport control is not an exit visa. It is essentially a way of keeping track of who has left.

  18. Keith Harbaugh says:

I have watched a steady drift of America to the left since I started watching politics in the 1950s. For example, in the 1950s we were told that we should oppose Communism because, among other things, the Communists wanted to “put all our women to work and our children in government-run nurseries”.
Well, what do you know, we had a fifth-column working within the U.S. to do exactly that, convincing women that the most important thing in the world was gaining power over their men.
A movement that was pushed in the media in the 1960s and 70s using five very-high-profile (in the media) women:
Betty Friedan, Andrea Dworkin, Bella Abzug, Gloria Steinem, and Erica Jong (and it should not escape your attention that all are or were Jewesses).
And for contrast, note how LITTLE media attention there is to Elaine Donnelly.
Another example of the astounding leftward lurch in American is the triumph of the homosexual agenda.
Marriage is no longer defined to be between a man and a woman?
Talk about radical change, and something which renders impossible forming a nuclear family, defined to be a husband, wife and their biological children.
And for pushing the fertility rate yet lower, and rendering impossible the idea of a nuclear family there is the current fashion for genital mutilation, which the doctors, God help us, say is in some cases “medically necessary,” simply because somebody wants it. What a crock. And, of course, such operations, and “required” hormone treatments, impose a financial burden on the broader public, adding to the rise in health care costs.
As to the current guilt trip being imposed on white people, and diminishment of the value of their cultural heritage,
this is simply the triumph of the agenda of the 1960s SDS and Weathermen.
For insight into what that agenda was, and how they tried back then to carry it out,
see two memoirs by leaders of those groups:
Underground: My Life In the SDS and the Weathermen by Mark Rudd (“Megaphone Mark”), and
Ravens In The Storm by former SDS presiden Carl Oglesby.
Please note especially the description of the words, actions, and behavior of the ultimate left-wing anti-white radical, Bernardine Dohrn; see e.g., her grotesque statement about the murder of Sharon Tate. (quoted in, among other places, Rudd, page 189).
And the desire of some of the lefties to “kill all the white babies” because of their hatred of whites.
My view: the SDS and the Weathermen have, de facto, triumphed in the U.S., and the reason is because the media have, in fact, supported their agenda.

  19. Jim S says:

I subscribe to your view of financial capitalism, but I suggest that it coincides with socialism in that both seek to reduce us (the people) to happily buzzing worker bees who will never try to rise above our places; one speaks of ‘equality’ and the other of ‘maximized utility’ but the end result is indistinguishable. In this respect socialism is a good tool for the globalists. And yet “There is something indomitable about the human spirit”; we of religious bent say “We are made in the image of God”. Either way attempts to reduce humans to neat little building blocks of society cannot succeed long, though the globalists will not and cannot see it–and since they still hold most of the chips they’ll keep trying.
Thank you for the book recommendations. After years of reading articles by and about Hudson it’s high time I read him. Unfortunately my parser is only 8 bits wide so it will take some time: I’m currently enjoying Coddington’s “The Gettysburg Campaign” but it is slow going.

    Chuck,
“The Democratic Party is not advocating the imposition of some version socialism. ”
So health care for all, college for all – at no expense apperently even to taxpayers, is not “socialism”? Neither the “fight for $15” or Yangs free money plan nor the ganggreen new deal? Porous borders is just importing socialist voters from countries that ran out of their own money and now want their share of ours that our politicians are promising them.

  25. ” … especially on the part of countries, like the U.S., that bear vast responsibility for global climate degradation.”
Oddly enough this is true, and not only true of the USA. By outsourcing much of our industry to countries that are far more cavalier about pollution than are we, we have increased pollution, however one reckons it up, considerably.
A similar lack of connected thinking is the move in Australia to phase out the use of coal while still exporting mountains of it to the Far East. In the UK use of imported wood chip for power generation seems to owe more to virtue signalling than to true environmental considerations –
    https://theecologist.org/2018/apr/16/hardwood-forests-cut-down-feed-drax-power-plant-channel-4-dispatches-claims
Unchecked globalism is an environmental disaster as well as a human one. The chances of getting a Progressive or a so called Green to see this are often close to zero. Cults aren’t there to do common sense.

  26. Jim S says:

I would like to flog Dave Powell’s work if you haven’t read him (he’s a passing acquaintance). “Failure in the Saddle” is an excellent study of CSA cavalry in the Chickamauga campaign and taught me many things about scouting I was to dumb to learn by RTFM. His broader study of the campaign is well spoken of, but being late to it I haven’t come across a copy of the first volume, which is out of print. Powell’s a VMI graduate (I don’t know if he went into service after) so perhaps their library has a copy.
