Little Qatar has bested the GCC and Egypt. Mufaja’a!

  Khosrow-and-Shirin

"On Wednesday, the Saudi-led bloc dropped its list of 13 demands to Qatar after Saudi Arabia, the UAE and their allies had failed to push the tiny gulf state to accept the demands via diplomatic and economic measures and didn’t find the political will to intervene the country despite the agressive rhetorics that followed the whole diplomatic crisis.

The list of 13 demands was introduced to Qatar in June. It included shutting down the Al Jazeera news network, closing a Turkish military base, cutting ties with the Muslim Brotherhood and droppign cooperation with Iran. At the same time, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Bahrain broke diplomatic relations with Qatar and imposed an economic blockade on the country. However, Doha, supported by Turkey and Iran, refused to follow the demands of the Saudi-led bloc.

So now, Saudi Arabia and its counterparts seek to push Doha to accept some ‘six broad principles’. This is a big PR victory for Qatar. However, the diplomatic crisis is still far from its end."  southfront

Nah, this is it.  The Saudis and mukhtar Trump tried snarling at Qatar, were ignored and now have lost.  The Saudi FM  (Adil Jubair - aka the Chihuahua) may be fired as cover for the idiot princelings who walked into this one thinking that the mukhtar's word would be treated as law by the al-thani.   Wrong!

As I observed in the earlier piece linked below the Saudis are even larger sponsors of jihadism than Qatar.  This whole squabble was a product of the new Saudi crown prince's fantasy life.  The same fantasy life that has led to the disastrous Saudi incited war in the Yemen.

mukhtar Trump, Kushner and the boys in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem must be puzzled by this development.  It all looked so easy unless you actually understood how the Great Arabian Dream Machine functions.  pl

One who is going to be miffed will be the pretender peacemaker aka shadow SoS Jared and the actual Sec of State T-Rex must be in heaven.
Israel wants to get flights from TVL to Jeddah so that they can bring the Muslim Israeli_Arabs for the Hajj and Umrah thus opening more businesses for Israel in KSA (officially). Jared and Bibi believe that they can con KSA and UAE into throwing the Palestinians under the bus with the help of Abu Mazen or may be his replacement Mohammed Dahlan (another one who couldn’t care about Palestine).
As far as Chihuahua, if the rumours are right ( supposedly his Jordanian wife left him because of his ‘interests’ outside the marriage-he must get along well with the idiotic dauphin if we can believe the following:

An Irish friend who has lived and worked in the Gulf for over 30 years, with the last 20 being in Saudi told me to read this: http://tinyurl.com/yaplufsu It is about the Saudi succession. He noted that they had “their own Game of Thrones” to compete with the current season, which just kicked off. I had a bit of a chuckle when I read it, but obviously theirs has real-world implication.

  3. A.I.Schmelzer says:

Kudos to the Saudis. Only they are capable of making me consider Quatar, very temporarily, as the less bad guy.
Honestly, everything that is bad about Quatar is worse about Saudi Arabia.

And on a similar note, Trump has just terminated the CIA program to arm Syrian rebels (with the exception of the Kurds).
“U.S. officials said the decision had the backing of Jordan, where some of the rebels were trained, and appeared to be part of a larger Trump administration strategy to focus on negotiating limited cease-fire deals with the Russians.
Some analysts said the decision was likely to empower more radical groups inside Syria and damage the credibility of the United States.
“We are falling into a Russian trap,” said Charles Lister, a senior fellow at the Middle East Institute, who focuses on the Syrian resistance. “We are making the moderate resistance more and more vulnerable. . . . We are really cutting them off at the neck.””
Even as Trump adjusts to reality on the ground, the borg propaganda organs remain firmly dedicated to the Saudi/Zionist agenda and exceptionalist sentiments…

I thought that the Saudis and their poodles reduced the list of demands to six?

Never mind. I need to stop commenting on a smartphone.

Yesterday, the 18th, the Turks sent another detachment of troops to Qatar through Hamad International Airport in Doha. This time with 155mm Firtina howitzers. This must be the 5th or 6th or ???th contingent of Turkish troops to Qatar.
They were brought in on Qatari C-17 transports. Wonder if those were the same C-17s that delivered Libyan weapons to the Syrian opposition via Turkey in 2013? Yuh, the same weapons that are now in the hands of the daeshi headchoppers.

Among final recipients of these and more, not just Baghdadi’s men qualify as such. Yesterday was the first anniversary of that one repugnant snuff-video done in Aleppo city, starring the local senior leadership of “moderate” Harakat Nurideen az-Zinki there cheering it on. Mrs Allday recalls said event and the shameless damage control done by the usual suspects at the time:

I’ll refrain here from linking to the video itself. Needless to say, all the better that one channel of supplies to unhinged warbands such as them has been shut by Pres. Trump.
That this is made public now might also have something to do with the fact that the “moderate rebel”/”FSA” myth is simply no longer sustainable, even in his immediate circle. A certain Muhaisny, interviewed by none other than US-national Bilal Abdul Kareem, laid it out recently as follows:

Also noteworthy in terms of what this “sheikh” considers “freedom”, how fitnah is to be blamed exclusively on the “rafidah” shiah etc etc…

  10. Bill Herschel says:

This is excellent news for the United States and the human race. I hope I have made myself clear. I doubt very much whether President Pence would have done this. This is count your blessings time.

  11. Kutte says:

Does any one believe Trump planned it that way? He does not give a damn whether Saudi Arabia goes to the dogs or Qatar or both. He humored the Saudis making a “mukthar” or whatever out of him. What are they going to do when thing go wrong for them? He simply thinks the USA does not need them and just wants to get out and save money, IMHO.

  12. turcopolier says:

Someone persuaded him to prostrate himself before the Saudis in the presence of the assembled leaders of the Islamic World. Who did that? pl

  13. Kutte says:

The point is that I think that he gets “persuaded” when it suits him, and all his “indispensable” minders who think they steer him are going to find out that in Trump’s world only Trump is indispensable. I just read the quotes: “It is our true policy to steer clear of permanent alliance with any portion of the foreign world.” (G. Washington) and “Peace, commerce, and honest friendship with all nations-entangling alliances with none.” (T. Jefferson). Would not Trump achieve that if he lets these people pissfart around until everybody is sick of it and says let’s get out of here?

  14. Babak Makkinejad says:

I do not see any upside for him or the United States in being persuaded to appear to be an enemy of the Shia Muslims.
