"Arnaud Mimran, who allegedly defrauded the European Union of about $315 million along with several partners, testified Thursday in a Paris court that he gave Netanyahu the money in 2001, the RTL broadcaster reported.

“I financed him to the tune of about 1 million euros,” he said.

Netanyahu told Haaretz the claims are “a total lie.”

Israeli law limits donations to parties and politicians running for office to approximately $4,000. Prosecutors do not intend to pursue the issue since it does not violate French law, Haaretz reported.

In March, Netanyahu’s office denied claims made by Mimran that he allowed Netanyahu to use a large apartment in Paris, according to Fabrice Arfi, a journalist for the Mediapart news site. Arfi shared the findings of his investigation with Haaretz, which published a report about it.

Netanyahu had used the apartment on Victor Hugo Avenue since the early 2000s, according to the report. He and Mimran were photographed together in Monaco, near France, in 2003 when Netanyahu was Israel’s finance minister and Mimran was already suspected of crimes separate from the ones for which he is on trial."  JTA

Well, pilgrims, Bibi was rumored to have received $ 80 million in laundered money from King Salman of SA.   A million Euros here, $ 80 million dollars there …  After a while it starts to add up to real money.  Isaac Herzog supposedly said that he had never said any such thing about King Salman's money, but that was before he learned that Bibi preferred Avigdor Lieberman to him as a coalition partner.  Lieberman is about to launch a "disciplinary" attack on the leadership of the IDF.  It will be interesting to see what the IDF leaks about Bibi and Lieberman.  pl

Israeli Defence Minister Moshe Yaalon has resigned, warning that Israel has been taken over by “dangerous and extreme elements”.
The above is the first line of the article on BBC (!) whose coverage of things Israeli has been consistently awful, as bad as the NYTimes

    Colonel,
Here is more- this Mimran is a nasty piece of work. Bibbi and his wife had gotten quite a lot from this guy- trips, vacations, etc. As the trial proceeds, there should be some more disclosures regarding Bibbi.

And regarding Lieberman, things are about to get interesting. And not just within the IDF.

I was reading this just a moment ago, so the possible war between the Israel military and bibi struck a chord: http://rodrik.typepad.com/dani_rodriks_weblog/2015/10/the-chronicle-of-higher-education-does-sledgehammer.html
I would appreciate any knowledge that the committee has to share on the Turkish situation.
