There will be more Durham indictments …

“Durham’s filing on Feb. 11, in a section titled “Factual Background,” reveals that Sussman “had assembled and conveyed the allegations to the FBI on behalf of at least two specific clients, including a technology executive (Tech Executive 1) at a U.S.-based internet company (Internet Company 1) and the Clinton campaign.”

Durham’s filing said Sussman’s “billing records reflect” that he “repeatedly billed the Clinton Campaign for his work on the Russian Bank-1 allegations.”

Clinton campaign paid to ‘infiltrate’ Trump Tower, White House servers to link Trump to Russia: Durham | Fox News

“Durham “is authorized to investigate whether any federal official, employee, or any other person or entity violated the law in connection with the intelligence, counter-intelligence, or law-enforcement activities directed at the 2016 presidential campaigns, individuals associated with those campaigns, and individuals associated with the administration of President Donald J. Trump, including but not limited to Crossfire Hurricane and the investigation of Special Counsel Robert S. Mueller, III.””

Special Counsel John Durham ‘still in action’ investigating origins of Trump-Russia probe, AG Garland says | Fox News

“Dolan’s ties to the Clinton family go back decades. As the indictment notes, he was a state chairman for Bill Clinton’s 1992 and 1996 presidential campaigns. President Clinton then appointed him to serve on an advisory commission in the State Department. Years later, he was an adviser for Hillary Clinton’s 2008 campaign, and “actively campaigned and participated in calls and events as a volunteer on behalf of Hillary Clinton” in 2016.

Dolan also has professional ties to Russia. As the indictment notes, he and his then-employer were hired by the Russian Federation to do public relations for the government and a state-run energy company, with Dolan leading the project. During that time, he established relationships with Russian officials, including at least two who appear in the dossier.”

Obama’s feet too. The “Tech Executive 1” (Rodney Joffe) connection may prove just as explosive. This whole affair is extremely complex to follow, but for those with the staying power to follow the intricacies of the Spygate “conspiracy theory” (wiki) I’d highly recommend the following article.

The essence of the allegation is that Obama’s WH comms and IT arrangements reorg., which started in 2014, assembled the infrastructure facilitating Spygate inside the Executive Office of the President (EOP). Why there? Because

..at the EOP level, with cloud computing technology factored in, all of the relevant IT transactions for putting data together where it shouldn’t be put can be performed, and their histories stored, outside of data environments overseen by more auditable agencies.

There is much technical detail, but the point is that Obama is alleged to have deliberately engineering the op. to run from the EOP so that it was undetectable. The article concludes

The beauty of a rogue interagency operation being run from the EOP is that most of the work can be done at the agencies, and only the end-product – the stage of “analysis” that reveals what the enterprise is up to – has to be recorded by an IT system at the EOP.

With page 3 of the latest filing alleging that Joffe was “..mining the EOP’s DNS traffic and other data for the purpose of gathering derogatory information about Donald Trump” it seems Durham is very much on this trail.

      Barbara Ann,

“data together where it shouldn’t be put can be performed, and their histories stored, outside of data environments overseen by…”

      No national security issues there!

      • JerseyJeffersonian says:

Well, we all know how much the Hildebeast worries her swollen head about data security, now don’t we?

    • Bill Roche says:

BA your excellent post discusses in part “how it was done”, but anyone with half a brain knew it WAS being done all through ’20. The fact that it’s 2022 and the case is still in the discovery tells me what lots of people also “know”; no one will be punished. The Clintonians scheme far exceeds a dumb botched robbery at the DNC in ’72. That it continued throughout Trump’s administration, abetted by the media, the Congress, CIA, NSA, FIB, and DOIJ was treason. No matter, the media will spike the story, RINOs will keep quiet, baseball season will begin, and no one will be punished.

      • Barbara Ann says:

        Bill Roche

The vast scale of the treasonous complicity does invite cynicism as to the possibility of justice ever being done. However, it appears Durham may just be one of those uncorruptible characters who will not let this go. The interminably long and seemingly winding discovery process may simply reflect the fact that this Special Counsel has an awful lot of ducks to get in a row before he can zero in on the principals. The fact is he has now mentioned the work Joffe was doing for the EOP and I can’t see why he’d do that if he wasn’t planning on going somewhere with it. There was also this yesterday from John Ratcliffe:

        • Deap says:

What did Durham learn, when interviewing Joseph Mifsud in Italy during the very earliest days of his investigation, that led to his demand criminal investigation powers?

Weaponizing post-911 powers for partisan gain by operating solely under the radar within the WH helps ties up some of the very loose ends that continue to hang: (1) Getting rid of Flynn as the man who knew too much; (2) Valerie Jarrett weaseling out of a direct response when asked about spying on Trump; (3) Samantha Powers 11th hour unmasking by the hundreds; (4) Susan Rice’s curious 11th hour CYA memo; (5) the barrage of Trump WH “leaks” in his early administration; (6) recent Conservative Tree House outlining a similar history – 911 to Obama Spygate; (7) enduring and persistent role of low-talent Jake Sullivan.

So what did Barr and Durham learn in Italy, very early in the game when the gravitas of the investigation suddenly changed?

What did Adam Schiff and John Brennan think they had on Trump ….”from their sources”? Agree, this is way more than a third rate burglary by some campaign yeehaw, though we still don’t know what they wanted to learn from the Watergate DNC break-in – almost 50 years later.

    • Samantha says:

Am I correct in understanding that Obama put in place the means to “bug” White House communications in 2014, a year before Donald Trump declared his candidacy? Obama was making it possible to have access to White House communications for himself, or his cronies, no matter who was to be the next president, whether that was Hillary Clinton or Jeb Bush or anyone else? !!!

      • Samantha says:

I now regret using the word “bug”. I should have said technical ability to access White House communications.

    • Lefty665 says:

Very interesting link Barbara Ann, thanks for posting it. A couple of questions come to mind.

First, what was Obama trying to do with his reorg and establishment of the EOP operation in 2014? Although Joffe/Sussman/Hillary et al turned it to Trump, it clearly did not originate there.

Second, why did Joffe use Georgia Tech for the data crunching, and why would they be doing intense DNS analysis for a “prospective DoD contract” (and what was that contract)? Does that have anything to do with Georgia Tech alum engineers long history with NSA and/or the convenience of Ft. Gordon?

What a cute self licking ice cream cone. Putting government collected data through a political spin cycle then recycling it back through the agencies (FBI & CIA) that were among the original consumers reeks. The leaked agency involvement legitimizing the propaganda with the press is a cherry on top.

      • Barbara Ann says:

        Lefty665

To try and answer your first question and Samantha’s above, my reading of the purpose of the reorg. was to set up the capability inside the Obama EOPto spy on any future candidate – or I guess any other person of interest. The EOP was chosen for the reasons stated above – i.e. to get around the compartmentalization/regulation of data processed by the various agencies of the IC. It would be interesting to know whose idea the scheme was, perhaps Col. Lang has an insight as to the likely candidate.

I think it is a red herring to assume the aim was to eavesdrop on future presidential EOP comms, but I may be wrong. As the article points out, Sussmann’s data dump to the CIA on 9 February 2017 included data since 2014, less than 3 weeks of which came after Trump became president. The target was Trump the candidate, or at most President Elect.

        • Lefty665 says:

Barbara Ann, Thanks for the response.

As you know better than I, Traffic Analysis, who is talking to who, is a useful subset of COMINT. Obama could have more conveniently done that through NSA. As you noted, the subjects of the analysis must have been so sensitive that Obama felt he needed the analysis itself hidden from the intelligence community. That would seem to leave us with domestic targets like leakers and political opponents. I vaguely recall some leak witch hunts during the later Obama years, but those were mostly easily justified on national security grounds.

My guess is that we will learn that Joffe turned the capability from its original purpose to serve Hillary. It will be interesting if we find that Sanders or other Dem primary opponents and players were targeted prior to Trump. Same with the Repub primary machinations.

I’m still interested in how Joffe commandeered the folks at Georgia Tech and what capability they were demonstrating to DoD. DNS analysis would seem to be a pretty mundane and longstanding exploit as Snowden disclosed.

        • TTG says:

          Lefty665 and Barbara Ann,

National cyber defense was always directed from within the EOP as far back as I remember. Richard Clarke was the Special Advisor to the President on Cybersecurity in 2001. I know there several advisory/advocacy studies since then calling for an enhancement of the cyber security role in the EOP. Main reasons given were that the Military, LE and law enforcement arenas were not the best place for cyber leadership since cyber is mostly private sector. We now have a National Cyber Director in the White House. Joffe was an early part of this and his company had many White House, defense and intelligence agency contracts.

The part about discovering the original DNS anomalies among a group of trusted DNS experts is covered in this Krebs on Security article and a much older Slate article. The Sussman/Perkins Coe connections are detailed elsewhere.

          • Lefty665 says:

Thanks TTG, interesting on cyber structure. Are the Cyber Command and the NSA just potted plants decorating the EOP?

Krebs (who I generally take off of) works awfully hard at it, but in the end is heavily discounted by the FBI’s determination that there was no there there. The Slate piece reads like a partisan political hit job placed by the mysterious source “Tea Leaves” (too cute:). He in light of current revelations seems to resemble Joffe.

Joffe apparently shopped “rare” Russian phone DNS lookups in the vicinity of the White House to the FBI and CIA. Durham reported there were around 3 million. What’s a “vicinity”? The Russian Embassy is roughly a mile from the White House. Could many of those lookups have been Russians phoning home? At any rate relatively few were Trump related, and I’d bet several of those were Flynn and Kislyak where we have content too.

As you know, DNS lookup records are not protected, but access to them is not casual. I could not access them by the terabyte. Joffee apparently had access first through his company’s status as a trusted third party and then from the EOP operation. Diversion of government resources to partisan smears, for example EOP and/or a reportedly DARPA project at Georgia Tech would seem to be illegal as well as subversive to our democracy.

It will be interesting to see what more comes out.

Hilary was meant to win and this was never mean to see the light of day. When Trump won the guilty parties began a massive coverup campaign which extending into discrediting Trump and driving him from office. On related Ukraine news Hillary Clinton, John Podesta, Jake Sullivan, and the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko met in 2016 while she was a private citizen. Biden’s current nominee to be Ambassador to China, Nick Burns, was also present. (I’m sure the Senate snakes – Collins, Angus King and Lyndsey Graham – will ask oh so tough questions at confirmation) The Ukrainians also gave millions to the Clinton Foundation. I’m sure there’s no connnection to current events or corruption. On related investigatory news a different Comey is seeing to it that all the johns taking advantage of Epstein lolita express and underage sex trafficing ring aren’t revealed to the public. At least the FBI and DOJ will retain the information in order to ensure compliance by the corrupted.

The real insurrection started with the Obama administration, and their post 2016 election holdovers. How can any new President start with a clean house when the deep administrative state has grown so vast and so well protected. Can a gnat penetrate the hide of a rhinoceros?

I just read some Tw1tter threads about this latest Durham probe revelation and believe it or not, there are LOTS of leftists who absolutely refuse to acknowledge any of this and who STILL BELIEVE in Trump-Russian collusion. They’re like dogs that won’t let go of a juicy bone. I can’t tell if they’re basing their sentiment solely on old [fake] news narratives or more-recent stories being promoted by the MSM. Probably both.

A devout Clinton loyalist at the NYT (who ran her reports by the 2016 Clinton campaign for approval before publication) has apparently written a book that’s triggered the latest tale: that Trump flushed classified documents down White House toilets. So maybe that’s what Democratic Party partisans are currently clinging to. If untrue, this may be yet another avenue being pursued – like claiming Jan. 6, 2021 was an insurrection – in order to legally keep Trump off the 2024 ballot since it would disqualify him from holding office. I’m skeptical it’s true, because if people claim to know it NOW, they surely knew it THEN, and I have no doubt it would’ve triggered another attempt at impeachment during his term.

    • JerseyJeffersonian says:

Jeez, what’s up with this democrat fixation with toilets? Oh, maybe this is because that’s where the Hildebeast kept her illegal server? This makes sense; the lefties always accuse others they are either already doing, or contemplating doing. Understandable that her nib’s toilet server flushing national security level documents onto the internet would occasion some confusion, eh?

      Lordie, make it stop…

  7. blue peacock says:

Grandpa Joe may not be too averse to have Hillary out of the running in 2024. However, Durham must know that the Deep State is off limits under any and all circumstances. Comey, Clapper, Brennan, Mueller, Rosenstein, Weissman, Strzok,… and all those FISC judges that approved the fraudulent FISA warrants on Carter Page are untouchable.

Trump can keep issuing press releases but none of the Deep State actors care. He blew it when he had the chance to cut the head of that snake. They won! There’s no one on the horizon including DeSantis who poses any kind of threat to them. In fact pretty much anyone with a shot on both sides of the aisle are fully co-opted.

  8. Claudius says:

In general I see the Clintons, their thralls and their running dogs as legally untouchable, immune to any form of prosecution. They represent the elite well, so they are protected.
This may be different. The neo Marxist wing of the Dem party may see this as a path to defeating and purging the neo liberals from the party. Getting rid of Mrs. Clinton would leave the neo liberals leaderless. Once she is off the stage the Dem donor base and her thralls in the organs of state security can be shifted into the neo Marxist camp, without much difficulty.
I see no effective opposition to Dem single party rule after that.

  9. morongobill says:

If Dr Jill gets a whiff of scheming to get rid of her husband involving HRC, the bovine excrement may really hit the fan. In fact, there be some democrat voices in contact with Durham already, pro and con.

  10. akaPatience says:

It’s worth mentioning that so many of the Durham revelations have been generally known and reported by bloggers for YEARS now. On his former blog No Quarter, Larry Johnson highlighted a Wikileaks revelation in its “Podesta dump” wherein John Podesta (Clinton campaign manager) and Brent Budowsky (journalist alumnus of The Hill, HuffPo, etc.) discussed in a December, 2015 email exchange the strategy of smearing Trump as Putin’s puppet. Larry Johnson later reported this again via The Gateway Pundit:

    https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2020/09/larry-c-johnson-told-long-ago-hillarys-team-helped-fabricate-trump-russia-collusion-lie/

At long last Durham has gotten into the gory details of the issue, and his recent filing (and earlier Sussman indictment) points to technical means by which part of the dirty trick was carried out: The Trump Tower server was noisily reported to be a secret backdoor means of communication between Trump and Russia’s Alfa Bank. But later, and much more quietly, the report was debunked. Hillary Clinton’s “plumbers”, with the help of opposition “researchers” Fusion GPS and its MSM connections, fabricated and planted the whole Alfa Bank issue. Meanwhile, Clinton and Biden criminal activities have aroused ZERO interest among our MSM. Un-f-ing-believable.

It’s hard to fathom the huge financial and moral costs of these political dirty tricks. I still hope, maybe in vain, some of the smaller cogs of this vast wheel of corruption will finger those who set it in motion – and that the miscreants will pay, BIG TIME.
